|Government Lock Down.|
With a little under two weeks left of this current lock down we are all hoping that we can get back to playing golf. again,, Why we had to stop playing defies logic but those are the rules. we understand that there will be a debate in Parliament on Monday 23rd when golf will again be up for discussion. In the mean time Gary Sutton has continued on a full time basis keeping the course in good condition despite having to work against the very wet weather.
Without the knowledge what any playing conditions will be i.e. two or three ball booking, it will be difficult for members to book in advance of that date. We can only hope that there will be some directive from Golf England.
Normally the first week end of the month would be scheduled for the monthly stableford, however with only three days between “opening” and the week end leaves very little time and with the uncertainty, for members to book in for a competition. To give members a better opportunity for the competition the monthly stableford will be run over the weekend of the 12th and 13th December.
There will need to be more discussion over whether we can run the annual turkey trott which normally is a shotgun start, which at present we cannot do, and also being unable to meet as a group after pla,y. There are some available dates within the month and we will make every effort to find a solution.
In the meantime continue to follow the rules and stay safe.
