Junior Blog May 2010.

The new season has started.

The new season is underway and so with this new season we say goodbye to last year's junior captain Bradley Howe and welcome Tom  Hooper to the post.  We wish him well in leading the juniors though the K.K. Smith and Bass Trophy matches.

Junior competition.

New! A monthly stableford for juniors!  We look forward to seeing junior members with handicaps of 0 to 45 taking part in these competitions.  This gives the opportunity to mix with other golfers of similar age.  The next stableford is scheduled for Saturday June 12th, and the sign up sheet is on the junior notice boards, in the booit room next to the pro shop.  We havealready had one successful stableford with nine juniors taking part on what was an extremely windy day.  Despite this there was an amazing score of 51 points from Ben Scott.  Well done.

Bass Trophy

We have played our first match in this competition and had a convincing win of 4 games to one against Barnham Broom.  A good start to the season.

K.K. Smith.

The tam has been selected for this competition after a qualifier was played with nine juniors entering., sadly only four are required and the sucessful team is Tom Hooper, William Buck, Mitch Smith, and Johnny Seaward.  We are due to play Barnham Broom away and we wish the team all the best.

Wednesday Evening Coaching.

We are proud tosay that the Wednesday evening coaching sessions have got off to a flying start. Due to the popularity of this class there currently no vacancies remaining., but if anyone else is interested please get in touch as we do have a waiting list and should vacancies occur then we can fill these from that waiting list.
